The inaugural First Niagara, Rochester Fringe Festival is going on September 19-23 in 20-plus venues in Downtown Rochester! We had the opportunity to set up at the Manhattan Square Park for the kick off party (pictured in the first image). It is a beautiful weekend to go and enjoy all the different artists and performances at so many incredible venues. This is truly an event that is all about loving and supporting your local. I myself will be seeing the Magic Crystal Spiegeltent show, which I am so excited to go see! Stacy K Floral designer Danielle will also be going to a variety of different shows and we will be sure to give our reviews. Today is also Park(ing) Day, “an annual worldwide event where artists, designers and citizens transform metered parking spots into temporary public parks” (via Park(ing) Day Website). Park(ing) Day brings attention to the need for cities to have more urban green space and the possibilities for using that space are endless. Click here to read more.
